# ECOWatch Gauge Online/Offline/Unknown Status Logic

- If the gateway status (Edgeinput point `Connection_Status = "1"`) is online, then check the COMM point status. If COMM is online, the interface shows “Online”; if COMM is offline, the interface shows “Offline”.
- If the gateway status (`Connection_Status = "0"`) is offline, do not check the COMM point. The interface directly shows “Offline”.
- If the COMM point is not configured, the system defaults to “Unknown” status.
- If the `Connection_Status` point is not configured, the system defaults to “Unknown” status.
