# \[iPHM/FAQ\]How to find Device ID to execute API

Summary:  
This article will show how to get real ID when you use API to get data from iPHM

Environment:  
iPHM v1.2  
Ubuntu 24.04

Symptons:  
When user creates device in iPHM, user needs to fill device ID, which is device address from WISE-2410 or WISE-6610, for example:

However, if user uses this device ID in API, API would return 500 error code

Root cause:  
iPHM system would provide another ID for this device

Solution:  
Please refer the picture below in order to get precise ID
