[hot topics] how to capture energy in production?

Indeed, it is tough, but not impossible,
Customers are paying more and more attention to carbon emissions and energy tracking, but they have no way of knowing the energy and carbon emissions used in production.

How to resolve it?
:star_struck:Tip No 1. To get the data in the easiest approach
collecting meter(RS 485)/PLC(Mitsubishi/Siemens/Rockwell…) in one small box is not a hard job for Advantech ECU-1051. It plays a decent role in enabling the data collection.

:star_struck:Tip No 2. Measure the data and transform it into an insightful way, we call it “parameter set & data transform”, Yes, you want to read total energy consumption per hour or per work shift, but you need to transform the raw data into the higher level of information. Our parameter set will help do it.

:star_struck: Tip No 3. create KPI

having the calculated data and organizing a meaningful KPI will require your expertise & the way to manage your production line, but we have tools for you to develop.

:star_struck:Tip the last: visualized it
:

Our pre-made dashboard template can help you out in the initial phase, and freely to adjust it in any time you have new ideas.

Voilà! now you have your machine production & energy usage both on track.

Hi May i know what is “parameter set” and what is the purpose of it?
Actually we can create the formula/equation in ECU Gateway / PLC right?
so what is benefit by using “parameter set”?

@Chien_Wei_Hiew Hi there, please check the description of parameter set

Parameter set Intro | OEE Pro | Technical Documentation | Advantech

We have default formulas combined with OEE Pro’s parameter set in order to reduce setting time. You can upload original data directly to RTM as parameter → combined with parameter set → Formulas in RTM will help you to calculate availability / performance / quality. You don’t need to create formula in ECU gateway or PLC.
